A couple of years later, when it was announced that partners were being sought tofund a mobile stage to accommodate musical concerts and live events at the pier, the ECCF responded. With the help of the Randolph J. and Estelle M. Dorn Foundation, theCommunity Foundation made a gift of $150,000 to cover amenities, signage, and programming at the Erie County Community Foundation Stage. Were proud to play a small part in the development of Sanduskys waterfront for every citizen and visitor in Erie County to enjoy, says Beth Maiden, Executive Director of the Community Foundation. To demonstrate the Community Foundations commitment to downtown Sanduskys revitalization, they sponsored Sanduskys inaugural Winter Wonderland festival on the new Jackson Street Pier in December.
